COPPELL IN A NEW DISTRICT IN 2005

The UIL announced Coppell will be in Region I, District 6 of Conference 5A next year.  The other schools are Euless Trinity, Grand Prairie, South Grand Prairie, Hurst L.D. Bell, Irving, Irving MacArthur and Irving Nimitz.   L.D. Bell has an historically strong baseball program.

DISTRICT SUMMARY

Flower Mound wins Coppell's district, 7-5A, two years in a row, three if you include prior to Coppell joining the district.  Southlake Carroll came in second.  Dallas Jesuit,  a controversial* new entrant into 7-5A this year as a private school, took third place and the final play-off slot.  Ironically, a Jesuit Coppellian had the pitching victory against Coppell in a decisive game.  Coppell took fourth place, while Flower Mound Marcus and Lewisville square off for fifth and The Colony is in last place.    Click HERE for District Standings.     * Click HERE for AP on UIL/Private Schools
